Questions and Answers

Q         I can only cover part of a 6 hour block?

A         You can partner with another member. The member that will qualify for a stipend should have their name on the master schedule. The member whose name is on the Master Schedule will get credit for the time and can request a stipend for any transports they go on. If your partner goes on a transport while they are covering for you they can request a stipend based on your qualifying hours whether or not they would qualify on their own.

Q         Is the Point System still in effect?

A         Yes, but there will be no points for calls that you request a stipend. You can receive points for training, work details, meetings and calls (transports and non transports) you respond to and do not request a stipend and fill out a points form.

Q         Can I still sign up to cover calls even if I do not want a stipend?

A         Yes, that’s your option.

Q         If I sign up for second calls will that time count toward the minimum time needed to request a stipend?

A         Yes, if you sign up in 6 hour blocks and first call is covered and you understand that if member covering first call does not show up you must cover that call.

Q         If I sign up for second calls can I request a stipend for those hours?

A         Yes, if you have a total of 12 hours or more for the month.

Q         Can I sign up for Third calls?

A         No, however if you go on a third call and you meet requirements for a stipend you may request one.
